A perspective is only as valuable as the experience and consideration behind it

If you’re going to share your perspective it’s got to have value. A perspective gets value when it is shaped by a ton of pragmatic experience.  If you don’t have experience to shape your perspective you’re just sharing an opinion. Opinions are of low value, because everyone’s got one, and you don’t need anything to support them.

Even with a lot of experience behind it a perspective might be of low value if it hasn’t been considered. Consideration is the introspection that comes before sharing. It involves questions like; Is this what I’m sharing piling on or adding new dimension to a conversation? Do I have enough experience given the people I’m sharing with? In the context of other factors is this perspective important? What is the outcome I expect as a result of sharing?
